Personal Considerations

Viewpoints

I believe the politicians of this Country should represent the needs of the people that elected them and not special interests.

Believe-it-or-not he cost of campaigning, and the demands of running for public office overwhelm most politicians. They have to serve two masters, the financial needs associated with their campaigns and the needs of the people they're supposed to represent. An impossible agenda, if there ever was one and one that I find personally demeaning!

I, for one, stand for public office naked of financial resources, bare-bone and with a basic presentation. A strong desire to serve the citizens of the 2nd. Congressional District, Missouri. The only way I know of to do this is by walking-tall, and by refusing to accept campaign contributions from any source. So! How can I reasonably expect to be elected? That's been my problem! I can't reasonably expect to be elected without spending money, somebody's else's money, money that will cost me my independence and my Soul!

I'll gladly pay each and every dollar of what I spend on this campaign out of my own pocket, and I enjoy spending each and every dollar associated with this political campaign. I enjoy spending this money because I have a message for the Citizens of the 2nd Congressional District, my agenda! I know where this Country needs to go, and what it needs to do to get where it needs to be in the immediate and foreseeable future. Furthermore, I can't understand why my contemporaries can't see what I see!

We have real problems in this Country! Problems that demand our immediate attention!

Roe vs. Wade (Abortion on Demand)

The 'Bill of Rights' guarantees every American Citizen protection from government interference in the living of their daily lives. It was included into the Constitution of the United States to keep the Federal Government and state authorities from interfering with our personal choices as American Citizens. The Federal Government was never envisioned as the enforcer of a 'National Morality!'

“No one, and I do mean no one, should be allowed to interfere with our Rights as American Citizens!”

Family Background

I came into this world on a morning in May, during the Second World War. The stork dropped me off at a hospital in Washington, District of Columbia, to a new and inexperienced mother. I was her first born, her pride and joy, and even though I was born in Washington, District of Columbia, I considered the event a joyous one. Supposedly, when my father first saw me he is reported to have asked my mother if I was going to walk or fly. You see my ears were much larger than the rest of my body, and my father was concerned that my having large ears might be a handicap. Luckily for me though, as I grew and developed everything adjusted to the right proportions.

Over time, I was blessed with seven siblings, two sisters and five brothers. Naturally, I was the only normal male offspring of my father, the other seven were all prema-donna's. Regrettably, they just didn't know it! Before we move on, I must tell you something that's important, early on in my life my father and mother repeatedly told me that I had to set an example for my younger brothers and sisters. This presentation has caused me considerable misery and grief over time, as my seven siblings constantly complained that I set the standard to high and that they were having a hard time keeping up with me.

My primary education is attributable to the Caddo Parish School System, Shreveport, Louisiana. I was a good student, but not a great student and I took college preparatory courses. Following my graduation from high school, I attended Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, Louisiana. No grants, no scholarships and no financial aid; I worked my way through the University (as a member of a Teamster Union) by the sweat of my brow, laboring for the man, night and day. After 5 wonderful years, I graduated from Louisiana Tech with a degree in Economics.

Following my graduation Louisiana Tech University I came home to St. Louis and my wonderful, understanding family. At this time my father and mother dutifully informed my brothers and sisters that if I could graduate from the university, anybody could, so they had better get their act together and they too had better do it! Needless to say there were a few disgruntled siblings sitting around our dinner table after that, individuals who did not particularly appreciate my academic accomplishments or my father's and mother's declaration. They persevered, however, and over time most were able to achieve an almost impossible dream, graduated from one of Missouri's Universities!

After a very short professional career I settled down to doing what I enjoy doing most, being a bell-hop at a large hotel. I worked off-and-on with my father for a number of years, and we had a wonderful time taking care of the traveling public. We both loved people and being around people. Presently I work at a hotel, but I'm not a bell-hop anymore. I now work as a night auditor, and even though it's not the same, I really enjoy what I'm doing. I like working with people and being around people, a lot of people!

I'm just a humble peasant laboring in this vineyard of love, working to improve what I can for Mankind!
